‘Where I Am Safe’ is an original acrylic painting created during a time of deep personal healing. Nestled within the roots of an ancient tree, the fox rests in a quiet, glowing hollow — a symbol of refuge, gentleness, and being held by something older and wiser than fear.
Built up with texture paste, the tree emerges from the surface of the canvas, giving the piece a tactile, almost sculptural presence. This added depth mirrors the painting’s meaning: safety not as an idea, but as a physical, felt place. A space where the world softens, and rest is finally allowed.
This piece carries the intention of comfort and belonging. It was made slowly, intuitively, and with care — and it is offered to someone who feels the same quiet recognition when they see it.
Original acrylic on canvas, 30 × 40 cm. Textured surface.
Please note: due to the nature of textured mixed media art, the surface is delicate. Care should be taken to avoid contact, pressure or exposure to extreme conditions. Once the artwork has left Eri Bloom, full responsibility for its proper care, handling and storage lies with the owner.
